Shelbi Flood - The Cicala Law Firm PLLC

Shelbi’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in the healthcare space, including antitrust claims, tortious interference with contracts and prospective business relations, breach of contract, and False Claims Act claims.

Shelbi began her career at an Am Law 100 international law firm representing healthcare clients spanning from large corporations to individual doctors and their practices. During her time there, Shelbi gained experience at both the trial and appellate level for both state and federal matters, as well as arbitration experience in Texas and Tennessee. Her practice primarily comprised of complex antitrust matters regarding auxiliary health services, which involved lengthy, intricate discovery. She also gained valuable experience in helping coordinate the successful defense of over 200 defendants accused of violating the False Claims Act, as well as being lead associate on multiple cases that settled favorably for her clients before trial. Additionally, she has experience assisting in the management and organization of complex discovery review teams, including teams reviewing antitrust discovery from multiple defendants and third-party productions from both public and private entities. Shelbi joined CLF in December 2021.

Shelbi graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as the Chief Notes Editor of Volume 96 of the Texas Law Review. Prior to law school, she graduated with high honors from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Public Relations and Political Communications.
